Learning Stays
Private Learning Stay
Two nights at Tanča Gora. Up to six hours dedicated entirely to what you want to learn — one-to-one, hands-on and at your own pace.
Not really a workshop.
You decide what you want to learn.
We don’t run scheduled classes with a fixed programme and a group following the same steps.
You stay at Tanča Gora, see how things work here and choose what interests you most. We then spend the time exploring it together — explaining, demonstrating, taking things apart and, whenever possible, building or trying something hands-on.
The idea is simple: you leave understanding enough to try it yourself.
What could we explore?
Start with what interests you.
There is no fixed curriculum. Some people may want to spend six hours on one subject; others may prefer to explore several. We start with what interests you and take it from there.
Natural building
Lime and clay plasters, wood, insulation, reclaimed materials and the small details that make natural building work in practice.

Water & off-grid systems
Rainwater collection, storage, filtration, ozone treatment, pumps and the practical problems that appear when water is a limited resource.
Electronics & automation
Sensors, controls, simple electronics and IoT — from an idea and a problem to something that actually works.

Greenhouse & growing
Irrigation, ventilation, sensors and automation, but also the practical side of growing food in a greenhouse.
Food from what grows here
Seasonal produce, fruit processing, juice making and, when the season allows, turning grapes into wine.

These aren’t courses with fixed lesson plans. They’re starting points for questions, experiments and practical work.

Who is this for?
For curious people who like to understand how things work.
You don’t need previous experience, technical knowledge or practical skills.
A Learning Stay is for you if you enjoy asking questions, making things, solving practical problems — or simply want to understand how something could be done differently.
It works particularly well if you:
- have a project of your own and want to explore possible solutions,
- are interested in natural building, off-grid systems, automation, growing or food processing,
- learn better by seeing and doing than by sitting through a course,
- want to combine a short stay with something genuinely useful,
- or are simply curious and don’t yet know exactly what you want to explore.
You don’t need to arrive with a plan. Curiosity is enough.
Probably not for you if…
You’re looking for a certified course, a fixed curriculum or a classroom-style workshop.
This is personal, practical and deliberately flexible.
